We had found the perfect fish and chips in Braintree but a short drive away. A new restaurant opened a few days ago, just a block away. It was worth a try but our old place would be difficult to beat. Mick's didn't beat it but came in a 'photo finish'. Nice chips with great light fish in crispy batter, perfect. Looked a nice restaurant seating area and we may try that soon. Friendly staff and a nice clean, new shop.
I hope this restaurant does well. As I said the nearest is a drive away. There are others but.....greasy.
